Wisconsin Basketball Soars Into the Top 10 in CBS Top 25 & 1 Poll

Greg Gard and the Wisconsin Badgers basketball team are an absolute wagon right now. 

Winners of 12 of its last 13 contests and six straight overall, the Wisconsin Badgers have forced their way into the top 10 conversations nationally on the back of its high-powered offense and sit alone atop the Big Ten. 

That’s why it should come as no surprise that the Badgers are now ranked inside the top 10 in the CBS Sports 25+1 schools in their latest update. 

Wisconsin Basketball Jumps to No. 8 in CBS Top 25+1 Rankings 

With wins on the road over Ohio State and at home against Northwestern, Wisconsin basketball now safely sits inside the top 10 of the CBS Sports rankings, jumping up to No. 8.

As mentioned before, the Wisconsin Badgers’ offense is humming right now, and they have scored 70+ points in 10 straight games. For reference, UW only scored 70+ points 11 times all of last season. That’s allowed the program to get off to its first 5-0 start in Big Ten play since 2007-08.

Sophomore forward AJ Storr, who was named to the Lute Olson Award midseason watchlist, has helped serve as a catalyst for this offensive outburst, allowing several Wisconsin basketball players to fall into roles they’re better suited for.

The Wisconsin Badgers return to the court on Tuesday, where they’ll hit the road to take on Penn State at the Bryce Jordan Center.
