You might want to adjust your expectations if you’re anticipating a high-scoring, action-packed Wisconsin Badgers football game this weekend.

The Badgers are gearing up to take on their long-time rivals, Iowa, in the Battle for the Heartland Trophy. Historically, this matchup has been characterized by tenacious defense — and a LOT of punting.

Before the Wisconsin Badgers take on Iowa this weekend, I’ve got a few intriguing player prop bets lined up. We’ll be using the latest lines from Sleeper to guide our selections.

Let’s dive in.

Wisconsin Badgers WR Bryson Green Over 1.5 Catches (1.45x)

Wide receiver Bryson Green hasn’t been the most productive target for the Wisconsin Badgers football team thus far, but this prop bet is low-risk enough that I’m interested.

Green is currently second on the team in targets (21) and second in total snaps played among wideouts. He’s also registered two catches in three of his last four games.

Against a tough defense like Iowa, Green’s big frame and physical style of play could translate to additional opportunities.

Braelon Allen Over 0.5 Rushing Touchdowns (1.52x)

Braelon Allen has been the linchpin of the Wisconsin Badgers offense this season, just like we all expected, and also has five rushing touchdowns in his last three games.

Since the game’s outcome largely hinges on the battle in the trenches, Allen should have plenty of chances to find paydirt — and I like the odds here.

Will Pauling Over 2.5 Catches (1.69x)

Slot wideout Will Pauling is coming off his best performance while playing for the Wisconsin Badgers football team, where he recorded a career-high eight catches for 68 yards on 11 targets against Rutgers.

This increased involvement in the passing game indicates a growing rapport with Tanner Mordecai. Not to mention, we all know that Phil Longo loves to pepper slot wide receivers with targets

Look for Pauling to build on his recent success and surpass 2.5 catches in this matchup — this one feels like a no-brainer to me.

Former Wisconsin Football QB Deacon Hill Over 125.5 Passing Yards (1.77x)

Old friend and current Iowa quarterback Deacon Hill may not be known for his precision passing ability, but the Wisconsin Badgers secondary has shown vulnerability to chunk plays.

With the right opportunities and a bit of luck, Hill could surpass the 125.5 passing yards mark. Last weekend, Hill completed just 6-of-21 passes for 110 yards, none of which went to actual receivers (that’s wild).

I feel slightly less confident in this one, but Sleeper makes you pick somebody from another team on a parlay, so why not have a vested interest in the former Wisconsin signal caller?
