Wisconsin Badgers Football Commit Injured, Leaves Game on Stretcher
Prayers for Wisconsin football commit Hank Weber.
Hank Weber, a standout defensive lineman from Brentwood Academy, has been in the spotlight ever since his commitment to the Wisconsin Badgers football team. However, during a recent game against Knoxville Catholic, Weber faced a concerning moment when he was injured and had to be taken off the field in an ambulance, per a report from the Tennessean.
Weber, a 6-foot-4, 265-pound athlete, committed to Wisconsin in June, choosing the Badgers over other notable programs like UNC, Vanderbilt, and more. As it stands, he is the No. 38 player in Tennessee for the Class of 2024, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
Wisconsin Football Commit Hank Weber Suffers Injured on Friday Night.
Before the injury, Hank Weber had been making a significant impact on the field, recording 25 tackles and a sack in seven games during the current season. Despite the injury scare, it was reported that he had a “full range of motion” as he left the field on a stretcher in an ambulance.
Weber’s decision to commit to the Wisconsin Badgers football team was influenced by the aggressive scheme run by defensive coordinator Mike Tressel and the prospect of learning from head coach Luke Fickell, who occasionally leads defensive line meetings.
The Tennessee native was Greg Scruggs’ first recruiting win as a member of the Badgers coaching staff — and is one of two committed defensive linemen in the 2024 recruiting class alongside Dillan Johnson.
