Wisconsin Badgers basketball fans knew they were getting an athlete in AJ Storr when he transferred to the program from St. Johns in the offseason, but I don’t think many knew just how electric of a player he was.

From the start of the season, it was pretty clear he was going to be one of, if not the top-scoring options for the Badgers. He currently leads the team in scoring, averaging 16.3 points per game. But his high-flying dunks are something we haven’t seen from a Wisconsin basketball player in quite some time, or ever, for that matter.

Social Media Reacts after AJ Storr Posterizes Opponent

In the first half, the Wisconsin Badgers get a steal and Wahl quickly gets the ball up the floor to AJ Storr, streaking down the left side of the court. He takes one dribble and just two steps and throws it down left-handed on his opponent, who had little to no chance of blocking his shot. Storr promptly followed it up with a mean mug in his defender’s direction before getting back on defense.

Naturally, social media had a field day with the play. Fans all over X (Twitter) were reacting to the play. Current and former players, and others all had a reaction to the high-flying dunk.

It was even dubbed ‘the best dunk of all of college basketball season’ big Big Ten Network analysts Rapheal Davis and Bruce Weber.

His efforts last night even caught the attention of Green Bay Packers running back, AJ Dillon, who was in attendance at the Kohl Center on Tuesday night.

Wisconsin fans need to appreciate AJ Storr while they can because I wouldn’t count on him sticking around too much longer after the season he is having. He has a legitimate chance of getting drafted in the upcoming NBA Draft this summer.
