Ex-Wisconsin Football Commit Likely Headed to Big Ten Blue-Blood
A former Badgers commit may already have a new home.
After announcing his de-commitment from the Wisconsin football program’s 2025 recruiting class earlier today, three-star ATH Cody Haddad is already trending to land with a Big Ten foe.
247Sports expert Bill Kurelic has cast a Crystal Ball prediction for the former Badger to land with Ohio State. The news comes just weeks after Haddad made a visit to Columbus, his first visit since the Buckeyes extended an offer following his initial commitment to Wisconsin.
According to the composite rankings, Haddad is the No. 528 player in the nation, the No. 37 ATH, and the No. 16 player in Ohio.
Ex-Wisconsin Football Commit Trending to Ohio State
Wisconsin football has now faced multiple setbacks on the 2025 recruiting trail. Last week, in-state three-star defensive lineman Torin Pettaway announced he flipped his commitment to Minnesota, and now, it seems Haddad will also land in the Big Ten after walking back his commitment to UW.
Former Badgers safeties coach Colin Hitschler was the lead recruiter for Haddad until he committed following a junior day visit to Madison. Hitschler left for the same job with Kalen DeBoer’s new staff at Alabama, which may have played a part in Haddad looking at other options.
Should this prediction hold true, Haddad will join Ohio State’s recruiting class that currently ranks No. 2 nationally and No. 1 in the Big Ten, according to the composite rankings.
The Wisconsin football program currently holds one other safety commitment in the 2025 recruiting cycle from Remington Moss. UW is also near the top of the list for Marcus Wimberly and Jussiah Williams-West, so a replacement for Haddad could be on the horizon.
With Haddad’s de-commitment, Wisconsin now has the No. 13 recruiting class in the nation.
