Wisconsin Football Among Top Choices for 3-Star EDGE Recruit
The Badgers remained in contention for a three-star EDGE rusher after he trimmed his list.
The Wisconsin football program is still in the running for a three-star EDGE rusher in the 2025 recruiting class.
Jayden Loftin, a New Jersey native, trimmed his list of schools down to seven on Wednesday morning, and the Badgers made the cut alongside Penn State, Minnesota, Tennessee, South Carolina, Syracuse, and West Virginia.

According to the composite rankings, Loftin is the No. 738 player in the nation, the No. 53 EDGE, and the No. 25 player in New Jersey.
Wisconsin Football Lands in Top 7 for Jayden Loftin
Loftin’s recruitment has picked up some serious steam recently, as he picked up four Big Ten offers since the end of February. Wisconsin football extended an offer on March 18th and still made the top choices just weeks later.
The 6-foot-4, 235-pound EDGE recorded 33 tackles, 8.0 TFLs, 5.5 sacks, and an interception in his junior campaign at Somerville High School.
Loftin currently has a loaded official visit schedule, setting stops with West Virginia, Tennessee, Penn State, and Minnesota for the month of June.
UW currently holds commitments from outside linebackers Samuel Lateju and Brenden Anes in the 2025 recruiting class. Although they already have two bodies at the position, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Badges take another body there.
As it stands, the Wisconsin football program holds seven total commitments and the No. 20 recruiting class in the nation per the composite rankings.
