Isaac Lindsey, a junior guard for the Wisconsin Badgers basketball team, has announced his decision to enter the transfer portal. After dedicating three seasons to the program, he aims to finish his career elsewhere.

The 6-foot-4 guard from Mineral Point was a Two-time First-Team All-State selection who began his career as a scholarship player at UNLV but never appeared in a game for the Runnin’ Rebels.

Lindsey later entered the transfer portal and found a home as a walk-on for the Wisconsin basketball program under head coach Greg Gard. It’s worth noting that he earned a scholarship for the 2022-23 season.

During his career with the Wisconsin Badgers, Lindsey appeared in 46 games as a reserve, averaging 0.6 points, 0.4 rebounds, and 0.2 assists on 30% shooting from the field in just over 4 minutes per game.

When needed, Lindsey provided spot minutes on the wing and gave the Badgers some added depth at point guard throughout his career. He scored a career-high eight points against Purdue and again against Arkansas State in the season opener.

The in-state product is now the sixth known Wisconsin basketball player to enter the transfer portal since the season ended, joining Connor Essegian, AJ Storr, Gus Yalden, and fellow walk-ons Ross Candelino and Luke Haertle.

He’ll have one season of eligibility remaining at his next stop.
