Greg Gard and the Wisconsin men’s basketball coaching staff have a big recruiting weekend on tap when the Badgers football team takes on No. 3 Ohio State — and it just got a little bigger.

The focus for Wisconsin this weekend is squarely on the 2026 cycle, considering the Badgers will now host five-star forward TJ Crumble as the headliner on an already impressive guest list that also includes point guard DeZhon Hall and wing Gabe Sularski.

Crumble, a 6-foot-7 small forward hailing from Cleveland, Ohio, is the No. 23 prospect in his class, the No. 9 SF in the country, and the No. 1 player in Ohio, according to the composite recruiting rankings.

Wisconsin Basketball Receiving Unofficial Visit From 2026 5-Star Forward TJ Crumble.

TJ Crumble is a big pull for the Wisconsin basketball coaching staff to get on campus. The five-star forward is already garnering interest nationwide and holds scholarship offers from schools like Arizona State, Cincinnati, Eastern Michigan, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Iowa, Kent State, LSU, Missouri, Northwestern, Ohio, Ohio State, Texas A&M, and Ole Miss, among others.

The raw talent Crumble has is apparent on film. He is a perfect fit for modern-day college basketball as a tweener forward who can get out and run, play in the pick-and-roll, put the ball on the deck, and attack the rim.

Crumble also has a decent back-to-the-basket game and floor vision that is impressive for such a young player. In addition to the forward’s terrific athleticism, he has a plus wingspan that should translate well to the defensive end of the floor.

Wisconsin basketball coaches want to make a strong early impression and develop a relationship with the high-upside recruiting target before he blows up even further nationally this coming summer and has his pick of the litter.

With an impressive array of offers already on the table, Crumble’s visit to Madison is undoubtedly an exciting development for the Badgers, who have begun to show a strong desire to get more athletic across the board in the coming years.

Somebody from this crop of recruits will leave campus with the first scholarship offer for Wisconsin basketball in the 2026 recruiting class — I’m all but sure of it.
