No. 4 Dean Hamiti, the Wisconsin Badgers Wrestling 165-pound wrestler, and the reigning Big Ten Champion, will be in University Park, PA tonight to wrestle in the 2023 NWCA All-Stars Classic being held at Penn State University.

Wisconsin Badgers Wrestling Dean Hamiti Looking to Bounce Back vs. Familiar Foe

Returning to the mat after a 2–0 defeat to No. 2 David Carr of Iowa State on Sunday, Hamiti is certainly looking to get that losing taste out of his mouth before the Thanksgiving holiday.

Badgers’ Dean Hamiti squares off with No. 6 Izzak Olejnik of Oklahoma State.

Olejnik, the redshirt senior from Bakersfield, CA joins the Oklahoma State team by way of transfer from Northern Illinois. Olejnik earned an overall record of 31–6 last year for the Huskies and finsihed 8th overall last year at the NCAA Championships – earning All-American status.

Coincidentally enough, Hamiti and Olejnik have met before. Most recently, these two clashed in the NCAA Championships in which Hamiti advanced by a 7–3 decision.

I feel that this may be one of the better matches of the evening as these two look to rehash their battle from the NCAA tournament.
