The Wisconsin football program picked up its 14th commitment to the 2025 class on Thursday, as three-star offensive lineman Nolan Davenport announced his commitment to UW.

The Ohio native took to social media to make it official.

Here’s a look back at Davenport’s recruitment and what he brings to the table for the Badgers.

Wisconsin Football Commit Nolan Davenport: On the Recruiting Trail

According to the composite rankings, Davenport is the No. 598 player in the country, the No. 47 OT, and the No. 20 player in Ohio.

The Massillon Washington High School standout earned 33 offers throughout his recruitment, with notable programs including Penn State, Michigan State, Cincinnati, Indiana, Arkansas, Purdue, Stanford, Kentucky, Louisville, and several others extending scholarships.

Davenport made an official visit to Wisconsin this past weekend, and offensive line coach AJ Blazek was able to wrap up this recruitment before his trip to Missouri later in June.

With Davenport’s verbal pledge, Wisconsin now holds four offensive line commits in the 2025 class, joining Logan Powell, Michael Roeske, and Cam Clark.

Wisconsin Football Commit Nolan Davenport: Scouting Report

Davenport is a two-sport player at Massillon Washington, playing both football and baseball. This past season, he switched from tight end to offensive line, his first season playing in that position.

Standing at 6-foot-6, 280 pounds, Davenport has a solid foundational frame for an offensive tackle in the college ranks. He will benefit from Brady Collins’ strength and conditioning program, as he has the frame to carry some more good weight.

Davenport is fluid in pass pro, with a good kick step and quick feet to move laterally, cover a lot of ground, and keep defenders from getting contain. While he’s not the fastest offensive lineman in run-blocking situations, he makes up for it with his aggressiveness at the point of contact.

One thing you love to see in Davenport’s highlights is his ability to finish plays. He plays to the whistle and uses his upper body strength to overpower opposing defenders and take them out of the play entirely.

Davenport is still raw in some areas after his first season playing offensive line, but the upside and athleticism are there. He has the tools and the size to become a solid option at tackle should he tap into his potential.

Overall, UW is getting a high-upside prospect with physicality, athleticism, and strength that could help him thrive at the next level. He’s a developmental lineman, but Davenport will be in the best situation to aid his development at Wisconsin.

The Wisconsin football program now holds 14 commitments in the 2025 recruiting cycle, which currently ranks as the No. 15 class in the nation per the composite rankings.
