The Wisconsin football program is keeping its recruiting momentum rolling by landing another commitment in the 2025 class.

Three-star cornerback Jahmare Washington took to social media to announce he has committed to UW.

According to the composite rankings, Washington is the No. 929 player in the nation, the No. 82 CB, and the No. 27 player in Illinois.

The Chicago native chose the Badgers over offers from Kansas State, Indiana, Michigan State, Iowa State, Toledo, UNLV, Akron, Wyoming, and others.

Wisconsin shut down Washington’s recruitment during his official visit this weekend after he was added to the visitor list late. Official visit season has been successful for UW, as the Badgers have now landed four commitments from prospects following their visits.

Cornerbacks coach Paul Haynes served as Washington’s primary recruiter. After a junior day visit, Washington told Badgernotes that Haynes’s energy and hospitality caught his attention and kept him interested in learning what Wisconsin had to offer.

In his junior season at Morgan Park High School, the 6-foot-2, 170-pound cornerback recorded 28 tackles, five interceptions, four pass breakups, and a tackle for loss, according to MaxPreps.

Washington is now the second cornerback commit in the 2025 class, joining four-star CB Rukeem Stroud, who committed to UW last week.

With Washington’s verbal pledge, the Wisconsin football program is up to 15 commitments in the 2025 recruiting class.
