I’m a little late with the Wisconsin Badgers football best bets article this week, as I’ve been battling through adversity not many people could handle.

My laptop took a shit on Friday night as I was going to start the article. My internet went out this morning, and I’m currently typing this at my local McDonalds. Breakfast bagels still be hitting differently.

The Kwik Trip by my apartment hasn’t had Miller High Life’s in stock since Tuesday. I had a new neighbor move in next to me, and she’s about to catch these hands (I’ll discuss this more on the Badger Notes After Dark podcast).

But alas, I’m here with bets for this beautiful day of college football ahead of us.

Before we dive into the picks for this today, let’s look at the results from last week.

Wisconsin Football Week Nine Gambling Results

Wisconsin Badgers football safety Hunter Wohler vs. Indiana

Indiana’s E.J. Williams Jr. (7) avoids the tackle after the catch during the first half of the Indiana versus Wisconsin football game at Memorial Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2203.

Losers:

Wisconsin -9.5 vs. Indiana (-110) – Embarrassing loss. Embarrassed that I took the Badgers as almost 10-point favorites after what they’ve done to us all season. Embarrassed that I’m going to do it again this week, but we’ll get to that later.

Wisconsin vs. Indiana 1st Half Total Under 22.5 (-110) – This was looking great with a little over three minutes left in the half, as Indiana led 10-7. Then Donaven McCulley decided to go full-blown Calvin Johnson on Indiana’s final drive of the half.

McCulley had a 32-yard reception with two minutes left to get Indiana in the red zone, then a few plays later made an impressive one-handed catch for a seven-yard touchdown.

I turned my phone off at that point and drank my sorrows away watching the rest of the game.

Michigan -32.5 vs. Purdue (-110) – Purdue backdoored me harder than anyone has in my entire life…which is saying something.

Winners:

Wisconsin vs. Indiana Game Total Under 46 (-112) – The first half didn’t go my way, but thankfully there were only 10 points scored in the second half to cash this bet.

Kansas State +3.5 vs. Texas (-110) –  The amount of emotions I went through during the fourth quarter of this game probably took a decade off my life.

K-State was down 14 to start the final quarter, then scored two touchdowns in three minutes to tie the game at 27 a piece. Texas kicked a field goal with six minutes left to go up three, which had me praying for no more points and the hook to save me.

But of course, K-State kicked a 45-yard field goal to tie the game at 30 and send it into overtime. Not great when you have a team +3.5.

Texas kicked a field goal to go up three on their first possession of OT, then by the grace of god they stopped K-State on fourth down to end the game and finally cash K-State +3.5.

Iowa vs Northwestern Game Total Under 31 (-110) – The final score was 10-7. There were zero points scored until nine minutes left in the third quarter. Iowa continues to be hilarious.

Missouri +15 vs. Georgia (-108) – Mizzou has been great this year, and their only loss is a 49-39 defeat at the hands of LSU. Georgia wins this game. But the Tigers will keep it competitive and we see a similar result to Georgia’s 26-22 win last season.

I wrote this about the game last week and was spot on as Georgia won 30-21.

Season Record: 29-35-0 – Finally got back on the winning side last week, but still need a lot to go my way to finish the year over 50%.

Wisconsin Football Best Bets vs. Northwestern

Wisconsin Badgers football vs. Northwestern

The Wisconsin Badgers defeated the Northwestern Wildcats 42-7 during their game Saturday, Oct. 8, 2022, at Ryan Field in Evanston, IL.

Wisconsin -11 vs. Northwestern (-110) – I was embarrassed to take the Badgers as a near 10-point favorite last week, and I’m ready to get hurt again. The line has moved to Wisconsin -12 this morning, so I’m glad I got -11 on Tuesday.

Three of Northwestern’s five losses have been by more than 11 points this season. They have an offense that averages under 300 yards per game and are 38% on third down in 2023. The Badgers’ defense should have their way in this one.

Northwestern has been better than expected this year, but they’re still garbage. Not saying Wisconsin is good, because they suck too, but we’re still a tier above the Wildcats.

Wisconsin vs. Northwestern Game Total Under 43 (-112) – Wisconsin has only had three games this season where the over hit. I’ll continue to ride the trend of unders when the Badgers play.

Bryson Green Over 44.5 Receiving Yards (-115) – Green is coming off his best game of the season, posting 96 yards on four receptions. His opportunities have been limited this season, but he’s hit over this number in two straight games. I’ll bite on the trend to continue.

Other CFB Bets I Like

Michigan -4.5 vs. Penn State (-110) – Michigan is the best team in the nation, Penn State struggles in big games, and the sign-stealing scandal only adds more fuel to Michigan’s fire.

Oregon vs. USC Game Total Over 77 (-108) – USC’s defense is so bad Oregon might hit this over by themselves.

Iowa vs. Rutgers Game Total Under 27.5 (-112) – I will continue to bet Iowa unders until they don’t hit.
