The Wisconsin football program will have a top cornerback target on campus this weekend for an official visit.

Three-star cornerback Jahmare Washington took to social media to announce he has locked in a visit with the Badgers.

According to the composite rankings, Washington is the No. 916 player in the nation, the No. 80 CB, and the No. 27 player in Illinois.

This upcoming visit will mark Washington’s third trip to Madison. The Chicago native stopped for a junior day visit in February, where he picked up an offer from cornerback coach Paul Haynes. He also visited in April during one of the UW’s spring practices.

“The energy when I first got there definitely kept me entertained. Great energy from the coaches and hospitality from Coach Haynes,” Washington told Badgernotes after his junior day visit.

Washington currently holds 18 offers, with notable programs such as Kansas State, Indiana, Michigan State, Iowa State, Toledo, UNLV, Akron, Wyoming, and others extending scholarships.

Wisconsin is the only school currently on Washington’s official visit schedule.

In his junior year at Morgan Park High School, the 6-foot-2, 170-pound cornerback recorded 28 tackles, five interceptions, four pass breakups, and a tackle for loss, according to MaxPreps.

Washington will be the only cornerback prospect visiting campus this weekend. Other top remaining targets include Mason Alexander, Charles Bell, and Jayden Shipps, who all have official visits scheduled.

Heading into the second official visit weekend, the Wisconsin football program currently holds 13 commitments in the 2025 class.
