The massive recruiting weekend for the Wisconsin Badgers football team delivers the second commitment in as many days for Luke Fickell and his staff.

2025 cornerback Rukeem Stroud (Tampa Bay, Florida), gave his pledge to the Wisconsin football team while on his official visit to Madison.

Stroud’s commitment comes off the heels of 4-star offensive lineman, Logan Powell’s, pledge yesterday.

According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Rukeen Stroud is the 434th-overall prospect in the country, the 36th-ranked player at his position, and the 58th-overall player in the state of Florida.

Stroud had 28 Division I scholarship offers. He committed to the Wisconsin Badgers football team over teams like Texas A&M, Penn State, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Colorado, and many more.

The newest commit for the Wisconsin Badgers has plus-size for a cornerback, standing 5-11 and weighing 160 lbs, according to 247Sports. It’s no secret the Badgers have been targeting bigger and longer defensive backs for their scheme under defensive coordinator, Mike Tressel. Stroud’s athleticism and size should make him an ideal fit in Wisconsin’s scheme.

As the lead recruiter, cornerbacks coach Paul Haynes has done a great job in Stroud’s recruitment. Heading into this weekend, the Badgers were the projected landing spot for the 3-star corner. He now joins 4-star Jaimier Scott as the two committed cornerbacks in the 2025 class.

With the addition of Stroud, the Wisconsin football team now has 13 committed players and is the 15th-ranked class nationally, according to the 247Sports team composite rankings, right behind the Georgia Bulldogs.
