Wisconsin Basketball Shows Interest in 2025 Point Guard Recruit

The Wisconsin Badgers basketball program has made contact with a new point guard target in the 2025 recruiting class. 

Josiah Sanders confirmed to Badgernotes.com that the Badgers coaching staff reached out following his standout performance during the spring evaluation period. According to 247Sports, The Denver, Colorado native is considered a three-star recruit and the top prospect in his home state. 

Sanders is a 6-foot-4 point guard out of Colorado Prep who currently holds offers from Tennessee, San Francisco, Wyoming, Colorado, Seatle, UC San Diego, Arizona State, Montana State, and Northern Colorado. 

It’s easy to see what Wisconsin basketball likes in Sanders. The lefty point guard exhibits an excellent change of pace off the dribble, plays well through contact, and is a threat when he’s in the paint. Getting downhill is where Sanders is most comfortable, but he is also a threat to shoot from beyond the arc if you don’t respect his jumper. 

Greg Gard and the Wisconsin basketball program have just one verbal commit in the 2025 recruiting class from in-state shooting guard Zach Kinziger right now. However, the Badgers plan to take a larger class, so you can expect to start hearing some new names in the coming weeks. 

Other high-priority targets such as E.J. Walker and Will Garlock are also nearing decisions on their future and are top-of-the-board recruits for the Wisconsin men’s basketball team in this cycle.
