Wisconsin Badgers wrestling commitment

Wisconsin Badgers Wrestling program have an impact wrestler in their 2024 class – four-time Idaho state champion Carson Exferd!

Yes, you read that correctly. Back-to-back-to-back-to-back Idaho state champion. After commiting to the Badgers he went on and won another state championship!

This is a big time get for Chris Bono and the Wisconsin Badgers!

Wisconsin Badgers Tale of the Tape

Carson Exferd is about as accomplished a wrestler can be at the prep level. Winning one state title is hard enough but Exferd did it four times! Wisconsin landing this type of talent is noticeable. Coach Bono continues to impress with the style of wrestler he and Associate Head Coach Jon Reader bring into the room.

In addition to his four-time title run – the Idaho phenom was also the Junior Boys Folk style National Champion at 138LB!

Like many wrestlers in the Wisconsin Badgers wrestling room, Exferd has extensive freestyle and folk style national experience. This multiplicity in wrestling styles allows Coach Bono’s wrestlers be diverse in their attacks and their scrambles.

This is a very exciting prospect and should raise the level of competition in the already high Wisconsin wrestling room. Badger Notes is unsure what weight class he will operate in just yet but I can rest assured that the uber talented wrestling room will be better with the talent he possesses.
