The Wisconsin football program will soon learn its fate in the recruitment of a top defensive line target in the 2025 class.

Drayden Pavey, an Ohio native, took to social media to announce his commitment date, which is set for July 2nd.

According to the composite rankings, Pavey is the No. 105 DL in the 2025 cycle and the No. 43 player in Ohio.

Pavey will choose between Wisconsin, Purdue, and Indiana, who he listed in his final three at the beginning of May. UW jumped into his recruitment late, extending an offer in April, but the Badgers were still able to secure a spot among his top schools.

The three-star defensive lineman stopped in Madison for an official visit this past weekend. He also made a trip to Purdue at the beginning of June.

In his junior season at Taft High School, the 6-foot-3, 305-pound defensive lineman recorded 46 tackles, 9.0 TFLs, and 7.5 sacks.
Defensive line coach EJ Whitlow has landed two defensive line commitments in the 2025 cycle thus far after successfully flipping Torin Pettaway from Minnesota and landing Florida defensive lineman Wilnerson Telemaque on Tuesday.

Pavey is among the top remaining defensive line targets, along with Kyler Garcia, who also took an official visit this past weekend. Wisconsin is expected to take three defensive linemen in the 2025 cycle.

After a busy three rounds of official visits, the Wisconsin football program currently holds 20 commitments and the No. 12 recruiting class in the country per the composite rankings.
