Wisconsin Football Gearing Up for MASSIVE June 2 Recruiting Weekend
Arguably Wisconsin's biggest recruiting weekend of the offseason is just around the corner.
The Wisconsin football program is gearing up for what could be one of their most crucial recruiting weekends of the off-season on June 2.
The Badgers will be hosting several high-priority prospects on official visits, hoping to push the pendulum in their favor and land commitments from some of the top high school football players on its board.
The Badgers traditionally have a history of success when it comes to recruiting in the month of June. In fact, players like Jace Arnold, Jordan Mayer, AJ Tisdell, Joe Brunner, Curt Neal, Barrett Nelson, Tommy McIntosh, Cade Yacamelli, and JT Seagreaves from the last two classes put a bow on their respective recruitments in June.
As it stands, Wisconsin football has eight players committed in the 2024 recruiting cycle and currently has the No. 21 class in the country, per the 247Sports composite rankings.
But there’s still work to be done, and the June 2nd recruiting weekend could be crucial in helping the Badgers close the deal with some of their top targets. By the end of June, we’ll likely see that number take a significant jump if history is any indicator.
Wisconsin’s Known Official Visitor List for June 2
Some headliner prospects expected to be in attendance for the massive official visit weekend include four-star wide receiver I’Marion Stewart, four-star running back Darrion Dupree, four-star cornerback Miles Lockhart, and four-star offensive tackle Kevin Heywood.
All four players have received scholarship offers from some of the country’s top programs, but Wisconsin football hopes to convince them that Madison is the best place for them to develop as players.
In addition to those four players, the Badgers will also be hosting many other key prospects, including four-star edge rusher Dominic Nichols, three-star defensive lineman Dillan Johnson, three-star edge rusher Anelu Lafaele, three-star defensive lineman Hank Weber, three-star safety Rafael Dunn, and Wisconsin football commits Kahmir Prescott and Landon Gauthier will also be in attendance.
Among the recruits on campus, it’s worth noting that Luke Fickell and his coaching staff are in a strong position with several players that could be close to pulling the trigger on a verbal commitment.
