The Wisconsin football team has added another highly-rated prospect to their 2025 recruiting class with the commitment of offensive lineman Hardy Watts. Their class now stands at 22 total players.

When Watts officially visited the Wisconsin football team in early June, there was a positive vibe that he could end up a Badger. He canceled his official visits to Duke and Boston College, fueling more speculation.

But then a Clemson insider put in a crystal ball prediction for Clemson, whom he’d visited the week before Wisconsin, making things a little more cloudy.

Two weeks later, he took his official visit to Michigan and suddenly, it began to feel a lot less likely that he would be a part of the Wisconsin football team. Two Michigan insiders put crystal balls in for Watts to become a Wolverine, with one of them giving their prediction a level confidence of ‘8.’

The Badgers have recently been on the offensive, taking to social media to show Watts how much they want him to come to Madison.

Whether it was that or it was Wisconsin all along, Watts ultimately chose the Badgers.

According to the 247Sports Composite, Watts is the 218th-overall prospect in the country, the 12th interior offensive lineman, and the top overall prospect in Massachusetts. He chose the Wisconsin football program over Michigan, Clemson, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, among many others.

With the addition of Watts, the Badgers will remain squarely in the top-15 of class rankings, according to the 247Sports Composite Class Rankings, sitting at No. 14 after his commitment.

Watts will join Logan Powell, Nolan Davenport, Michael Roeske, and Cam Clark as the offensive linemen in the Badgers’ 2025 recruiting class. This is one of the deepest and most talented groups of offensive linemen Wisconsin has brought to Madison in quite a while. New line coach AJ Blazek has quickly made an impression on the program after the departure of Jack Bicknell Jr. this offseason.
