Wisconsin Football May Not Be Finished in 2024 Recruiting Class
It took some time for the dust of the summer recruiting madness to settle, but the Wisconsin football program hasn’t closed the door on making another addition to the 2024 class.
On Monday, the Badgers offered unranked defensive end/EDGE rusher Lugard Edokpayi out of District Heights, Maryland, after seeing what he put on tape through the first two games of his senior season.

As it stands, the 6-foot-6, 215-pound defensive lineman holds offers from Akron, Jacksonville State, James Madison, Kent State, Maine, Marshall, Minnesota, Navy, Temple, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Cal, Vanderbilt, and several other schools.
Wisconsin Football Re-Opens the Door to Adding Another Player in 2024
Luke Fickell and the Wisconsin football program currently have 21 verbal commitments in the 2024 recruiting class. However, several key misses, particularly on the defensive line, opened the door to the Badgers pursuing some late bloomers.
Thankfully, UW was able to land Dillan Johnson after things unraveled at Northwestern, which helped shore up a class that only had three-star defensive lineman Hank Weber committed. Still, the Wisconsin Badgers would absolutely benefit from a few more bites at the apple.
It’ll be interesting to see how many additional offers Wisconsin football sends out this fall — but it’s great to see they’re open to taking on some developmental pieces with some upside.
