Top Wisconsin Football Target Announces Commitment Details
Four-star prospect Liam Andrews has announced his top three schools and his decision date.
Madison, Wis. – The Wisconsin football program has had some trials and tribulations in defensive line recruiting in the 2024 cycle.
However, Wisconsin righted the ship last week by successfully flipping a commitment from former Northwestern commit Dillan Johnson.
The defensive line is still a position of need in the cycle, and one of the top defensive linemen in the country has set a commitment date, and Wisconsin has made the cut for the four-star lineman.
Liam Andrews, the top remaining prospect on UW’s board, will announce his commitment on July 21st. UW made the cut along with Penn State and South Carolina for the standout from Dexter High School.

According the industry-generated 247Sports Composite, Andrews is the No. 92 player in the nation, the No. 3 interior offensive lineman (though he will play defensive line at the collegiate level), and the No. 2 player in Massachusetts.
Andrews took an official visit to Wisconsin on June 9th before taking his last official to South Carolina.
“It was another great visit,” Andrews told 247Sports following the visit. “It was a lot of reinforcing what I knew. I am a priority for them. It was great to sit down and talk football with coach Scruggs.”
Luke Fickell and company reportedly felt they were in a good spot with Andrews following the visit. However, Wisconsin is seemingly on the outside looking in for Andrews now, with multiple recruiting services casting predictions for the four-star prospect to land at Penn State.
This commitment will still be one to keep an eye on to see if UW can pull off some magic.
