Wisconsin Offers 2027 Wing Ty Schlagel on Unofficial Visit
The Badgers offered the top player in Minnesota's 2027 class while on a visit.
Greg Gard and the Wisconsin Badgers basketball program made an early move by bringing in sophomore Ty Schlagel for an unofficial visit as they begin ramping up their efforts in the 2027 recruiting class.
The versatile 6-foot-5 wing from Cretin Derham Hall in Saint Paul, Minnesota, made his second trip to Madison over the weekend for the Alabama game, and the Badgers coaches didn't let him leave without extending him an offer.
According to On3, Schlagel holds the top spot in Minnesota for the 2027 class, ranks as the No. 14 shooting guard in the nation, and is listed as the No. 54 overall prospect in the country.
Schlagel, who had an impressive showing on the AAU circuit with Howard Pulley, was eager to take in the Madison atmosphere again.
"I have previously been to Badgers camp, so this was my second time in Madison," Schlagel told Badgernotes. "It's a cool city, and I love that it's by the lake. The fans there are amazing."
