Wisconsin lands commitment from 2025 DL Drayden Pavey
The Badgers have added another defensive lineman to the 2025 recruiting class.
The Wisconsin football team isn't done building out the 2025 recruiting class.
Three-star defensive lineman Drayden Pavey, an Ohio native, announced his commitment to Luke Fickell and the Badgers on Tuesday morning.
Pavey was previously committed to the Purdue Boilermakers, but he announced that he would de-commit on Saturday. Shortly after, UW was able to swoop in and seal his pledge.
Wisconsin was a major contender in Pavey's recruitment in the summer. UW jumped into the mix late — extending an offer in late April — but was still able to crack his top three schools alongside Purdue and Indiana. Pavey took an official visit to Madison in mid-June, but Ryan Walters and the Boilermakers earned his initial commitment a few weeks later.
According to the composite rankings, Pavey is the No. 726 player in the country, the No. 80 DL, and the No. 29 player in Ohio.
The 6-foot-3, 305-pound tackle has recorded 56 tackles, 17 TFLs, and 7.5 sacks this season, helping Taft High School to a current 6-2 record.

With his verbal pledge, Pavey is now the fourth defensive lineman to commit to UW, joining Torin Pettaway, Wilnerson Telemaque, and Xavier Ukponu.
There's still some time to go in the 2025 cycle, but the Wisconsin football program is bordering on a top-25 class when all is said and done. As it stands, UW holds the No. 27 recruiting class in the country with 24 commits.
