Cheap shot on players who are at the UW for a degree. Who knows who is not producing? Experienced players? Players promised time to stay or come? And to whom the coaching staff lied? New players who have no clue what the UW is about? Longo can't recruit RBs, just multiple QBs (that don't play) and WRs (who don't catch the rinky dink passes that the system involves). Dillon, hold the staff accountable also. Fickell has lost the locker room; usually that is the coach's fault. Maybe, Dillon, the "program" isn't very good. Clearly the offense stinks and you are blaming the players? Produce better journalism.

I'll preface my opinion by saying it always falls on the head coach — but right now, I think the players are playing a more prominent role in the ineptitude than I initially gave any credence to. I've seen this team lay down more in the last two seasons than the previous 20 combined.

Respectfully, when you've got a head coach talking about needing to find out who wants to be here, and two of your team's leaders are questioning whether or not their teammates care — while also saying there might be some 'weeding out' that needs to be done — it all leads me to believe this extends beyond the coach.

There is plenty of blame to go around — but I don't think we'll know for sure until we see this team play next season — post-overhaul.

Fair comment. So we should have been told: "Don't have high expectations because we need to overhaul the systems (offense and defense) used because everything thing you have been doing is wrong. And we need to change out the personnel and bring in outsiders who know nothing about UW or our new fancy new offensive end defensive schemes with the hope, so far unfulfilled, that players who will be here for two or three years will learn and execute our systems better."

"Complementary" football. The new term of the day. Can't wait to see it. You are far too kind on the millionaires coaching this mess. "Longo the Great" whose system produced less than ten yards total rushing in the first half against Northwestern. Come-on, Dillon, blaming scholarship kids for this mess is unfair.
