New Zealand Guard Hayden Jones Commits to Badgers

Wisconsin has landed another international prospect on the recruiting trail.

Greg Gard and the Wisconsin basketball program were able to use their coaching staff's connections overseas to land another international recruit. 

On Thursday, July 25, the Badgers received a verbal commitment from 2025 guard Hayden Jones from New Zealand. 

"100% committed. Thanks to coach Gard and the staff at Wisconsin for this awesome opportunity," Jones wrote on social media. "Looking forward to being part of the Badger family!"

Jones, who stands 6 feet 6 inches, has played for the Nelson Giants in the New Zealand NBL for the past two years. During the 2023-24 season, he averaged 2.9 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 0.6 assists per game in 12 minutes of action.
