2023 RB commit Nate White gives an update on where things stand with UW
With rival teams circling, 2023 RB commit Nate White gives an update on his status with the Wisconsin Badgers.
Madison, Wis. - With so much uncertainty surrounding the Wisconsin Badgers head coaching gig, rival programs smelled blood in the water and began circling, attempting to flip several committed Wisconsin recruits.
Because of this, UW has lost three committed players in the past two weeks. First was wide receiver Trech Kekahuna, then nose tackle Jamel Howard, and finally, WR Collin Dixon - all three-star prospects.
An already small 2023 recruiting class was thinned out significantly with the early signing period just around the corner.
Another committed prospect hearing from different schools was three-star running back Nate White, out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
White, who plays for Milwaukee King, told BadgerNotes that Penn State, Iowa State, Tennessee, Northwestern, and several other teams have reached out to gauge his interest since Paul Chryst's firing.
Per the 247sports Composite, White is the No. 682 overall prospect in the 2023 recruiting class, the No. 45 RB in the country, and the No. 1 player in Wisconsin.
According to Wissports.net, the 6-foot, 175-pound RB carried the ball 135 times for 1,163 yards (8.6 YPC) and scored 20 touchdowns. He also chipped in seven catches for 132 yards and two receiving touchdowns while throwing for four more scores through the air.
He initially committed to UW over offers from Iowa State, Kansas, Minnesota, Purdue, Vanderbilt, Northern Illinois, and Western Michigan.
But the million-dollar question is, will White remain committed to UW, or are the other programs making a pitch worth considering just three weeks out from the most significant decision of his life?
