The Wisconsin football team hosted 4-star linebacker Mason Posa (Albuquerque, NM) as a part of their huge recruiting weekend over June 1-2. That weekend has yielded multiple commitments, including 4-star offensive lineman Logan Powell and 3-star cornerback Rukeem Stroud.

The Badgers are hoping that weekend continues to produce for them, eyeing a commitment from Posa who is set to announce his commitment on Thursday evening at 7:00 PM central time.

After his visit with the Wisconsin football program, things seemed to be very positive and even trending in the Badgers’ direction. Right now, the Wisconsin target has two crystal ball predictions on 247Sports, both in favor of the Badgers. Granted, the predictions are from the Badger247 experts Nick Osen and Evan Flood, but the fact that there aren’t any predictions for Oregon or Texas A&M, his other final teams, should give Wisconsin fans a little confidence.

Posa is coming off of an official visit to Oregon last weekend. He is slated to take an official visit to Texas A&M on June 21st.

Since he is making his commitment before he visits College Station, it’s probably safe to assume that his decision will come down to Wisconsin and Oregon.

According to the 247Sports composite, Posa is the 224th overall prospect in the country, the 27th-ranked linebacker, and the top overall prospect in New Mexico. A commitment from Posa would keep the Wisconsin football team at 13th in the country in recruiting class rankings but would close the gap between them and Rutgers for No. 12. He would also replace Logan Powell as the Badgers’ top-rated recruit, according to 247Sports’ Top247 rankings.
