The commitment from LaCrue comes just a week after the Badgers gave him an official offer. LaCrue has yet to make an official visit to Wisconsin, but the Badgers managed to land the three-star signal caller.

LaCrue is a senior at Broomfield High School in Colorado. The dual-threat quarterback led the Broomfield Eagles to a 10-0 regular season record. According to MaxPreps, he has thrown for 1,854 yards and 21 touchdowns in his senior year. Additionally, LaCrue has posted 627 rushing yards for 13 touchdowns.

According to the 247 Sports Composite, the 6-foot-2, 195-pound quarterback is the 15th-ranked player in Colorado. LaCrue is ranked in the top 100 quarterbacks in the 2023 class and the second-ranked QB in Colorado.

On November 2nd, LaCrue announced his top three schools. Wisconsin, Tulane, and Colorado all landed in the three-star QB’s top three. Just five days later, Wisconsin secured the commitment from the talented quarterback.

LaCrue’s commitment gives the Badgers a big boost in their quarterback room. Wisconsin now has Graham Mertz, Chase Wolf, and Myles Burkett, with LaCrue coming in 2023. It remains to be seen how the QB room will shake up with LaCrue coming to campus next year, but the Badgers have found themselves a strong talent at QB.
